NYTSHIFT Rewards

Rewards terms

Short and in plain words. You accept these when you join Rewards, separately from the NYTSHIFT Terms of use.

  1. 1.

    Points are a record of your activity in NYTSHIFT Rewards. They are not money, not a token and not an investment. They have no guaranteed value. You can't buy, sell or transfer them.

  2. 2.

    Each season's pool is a maximum, not a promise. How points turn into $NYT is set out in that season's rules, which are fixed before the season starts.

  3. 3.

    Points stay pending until the review at the end of each season. We can remove points or refuse a claim for abuse, as described in the rules. We will tell you why, and you can appeal within 7 days of the season results.

  4. 4.

    One person, one Rewards account. Each wallet counts for one person, ever.

  5. 5.

    NYTSHIFT Rewards isn't available in some countries. Hiding your location breaks these rules and forfeits your points.

  6. 6.

    Trading perps is risky. You can lose all the money in your account. Don't trade more than you would anyway to earn points.

  7. 7.

    You're responsible for any tax on rewards you receive.

  8. 8.

    We can end the program with notice. Points earned in a season that has started are converted under that season's rules.
