If a deposit gets stuck.

What to do when a deposit stops before it reaches Hyperliquid.

Don't send it again. A second deposit won't push the first one through. You'd just have two on the way.

Still moving on the deposit screen? Leave it. A delay there means it's still processing.

1. Keep the details

Press Copy these details on the deposit screen and save them somewhere safe. They show once a deposit stops or runs late, and only the browser you deposited from keeps them. If you closed the deposit, they're under Unfinished deposits, just above the deposit form: press it to open. Each one says whether it went through Relay or Circle. Lost them? Your wallet or exchange history has the transaction.

2. Check whether it arrived anyway

Search for your Hyperliquid address on Hyperliquid's explorer ↗. If you're still on the funding step in Account & funding, you can press Refresh balance there. A deposit can arrive after the screen has given up on it.

3. If it went through Relay

  • Sent from your wallet: look through that wallet's history on the network you sent from. Relay's documentation says refunds go back on that network, minus network costs. One can also land in your Hyperliquid account.
  • Sent to a deposit address, for example from an exchange: paste the refund address from your details into that network's block explorer. That's where a refund goes, not back to the exchange. If it's your NYTSHIFT wallet, moving it on needs a little of that network's coin for fees.
  • To see where it is, press Track on Relay in your details, or open relay.link/transaction/ followed by the Relay request.

A failed request can still turn into a refund, so give it some time. Relay's documentation says it doesn't send a refund that wouldn't cover its own network cost, so a very small deposit may not come back.

4. If it went through Circle

The money may not be in your wallet. Not seeing it there doesn't mean it's lost: it can be waiting in Circle's transfer. To see where it is, press Check on Circle in your details. That opens this address, with your network's number and Your transaction:

https://iris-api.circle.com/v2/messages/NUMBER?transactionHash=YOUR_TRANSACTION

Circle's number for each network
NetworkNumber
Ethereum0
OP Mainnet2
Arbitrum3
Base6

The page that opens is plain data. Look for forwardState. COMPLETE means Circle finished its part, so go back to step 2. FAILED means it stopped. Anything else, or nothing found, means it's still moving or Circle hasn't seen it yet: check again later.

Finishing a stopped transfer is Circle's process, not ours. We haven't been through it ourselves, so read Circle's documentation ↗ before you sign anything.

What NYTSHIFT can't do

NYTSHIFT doesn't hold your deposit and can't move, cancel or reverse it. There's no help inbox yet, so nobody here can look into it for you. Keep your details: only Relay or Circle can move it now. Nobody from NYTSHIFT will message you offering to recover a deposit, and nobody ever needs your recovery phrase or private key to look one up.
